Sixteen years ago, I was a 54-year-old banker, laid off in the middle of the Great Recession. Like many business owners I’ve worked with since, I faced uncertainty. But out of that challenge came an opportunity—a second career that turned confusion into clarity, both for me and for the hundreds of business owners I’ve had the privilege to serve.
We started by helping business owners go from financial confusion to financial clarity—unlocking profitability they never thought possible. Then, five years ago, those same clients started asking for help with their exits. They wanted to maximize value, minimize taxes, and transition on their own terms and timing. And just like we helped them build profitable businesses, we helped them secure legacies that will live beyond them.
None of this happens alone. I’m grateful to our clients who trust us, to the advisors who partner with us, and to the community of business owners who dream big and do the work to make those dreams a reality.
And to my banker friends wondering what’s next—I’ll just say this: There’s life (and purpose) after banking.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey.
